Josh Covarrubias left us on November 28, 2021. He was a charismatic Marine with a deep love of motorcycles. A passion that stayed consistent throughout his life, from his little PW80 up to the finely crafted Italian race bikes. He loved taking his motorcycle to the track. He always surrounded himself with family and friends from all walks of life to make each trip more memorable. Over the years, this became a Covarrubias family tradition. Shortly before his death, the family had purchased a bike for his wife, Mairu, in the hope that she would join him on the track. A dream that would not be fulfilled.
Warriors In Need (WIN) is thrilled to announce an upcoming charity event that not only celebrates Mairu Covarrubias’ first track day but also serves as a fundraiser for the esteemed Wounded Warrior Project. Join us as we come together to support Mairu’s dream while making a meaningful impact on the lives of transitioning veterans and disabled veterans. Let’s honor Josh Covarrubias’ memory and rally behind this dual cause.
On November 25th, we invite you to join us at Buttonwillow Raceway with TrackDaz to witness and support Mairu Covarrubias’ first-ever track day. It will be a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and the spirit of embracing new beginnings. In addition to celebrating Mairu’s journey, this event will serve as a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.
At Warriors In Need, we are proud partners of the Wounded Warrior Project. As a registered business with the Warriors to Work Program, we are committed to supporting transitioning and disabled veterans. During Mairu’s track day event, we will raise funds to contribute to the Wounded Warrior Project’s noble cause. Your donations will directly impact the lives of those who have bravely served our country. If you cannot attend, please donate to the WWP through our fundraiser
Help us raise awareness about this event and fundraiser by sharing the news with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can amplify our efforts and make a difference in the lives of those who have served our nation.
