Warriors In Need Debut Event a Roaring Success

Warriors In Need Celebrates the Victory of Debut Fundraising Event at Buttonwillow Raceway

Event

On November 25th, 2023, Warriors In Need (WIN) gathered with family and friends on the paddock of Buttonwillow Raceway Park to support Mairu Covarrubias’ first-ever track day. This event, in conjunction with TrackDaz, was not only a celebration of her late husband Josh’s legacy as a Marine, husband, and father, but also served as a fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project.

Impact

We are thrilled to share that WIN was able to generate over $2,000 in donations through our direct digital portal for Wounded Warrior Project, and $10,000 for the Warriors In Need event. Mairu was able to ride the iconic track at Buttonwillow throughout the entirety of the day with the support of family and friends. It was equally gratifying to have veterans, and active duty military personnel approach us during the event to learn more about WIN.

Continued Support

WIN will continue to live our mission of supporting transitioning veterans and disabled veterans as they successfully find their place in civilian life. It is our intention to make this Wounded Warrior Project fundraiser an annual event, and we hope to expand our efforts to connect veterans and their families with the world of motorcycles. Please consider staying connected with us here and on social media as we expand our programming and efforts to support the veteran community. You can also support our mission by donating today.
